EDO SPREAD

This is a two-page spread I did for Dragon Magazine of
the city of Edo as it was in the ancient world.  It is
one of several I did, as part of a series called "Cities
for the ages."  A lot of date-sensitive architectural and
design research went into this.  The original is of course
full size at 300 dpi so this one leaves out a lot of detail but
gives the overall layout, minus some text.  It was done in
separate pieces in pencil, to give an old-world feel.  The
graphs and smaller maps were done in Illustrator.  Then
it was composed and colorized in Adobe Photoshop.  I have
also incorporated some genuine art of the period as
background texture.
